2018 Madison Art Society 43rd Annual Member Show

February 4 – March 2, 2018

Scranton Memorial Library, Madison

Stuart Lerner won the “Most Popular” prize award from Lenny and Joe’s Fish Tale Restaurant for his whimsical sculpture “A Basket of Deplorables.”

“My Artwork remains exciting and fresh 40 years after the construction of my first piece. Each project requires design, construction, fabrication, assembly and finishing. The hardest process is assembly – figuring out what to do first, early assembly of a part could prevent the assemble of other parts.

All of my work is visual, from the time I see the first idea of a new project it could take a few months to a few years to completion. Some never are completed. That’s why I live with a lot of scrap. And if it doesn’t put a smile on my face I don’t make it.”
